    A large, modern, comfortable gay bar that’s great for reading a newspaper in the day or meeting up for drinks pre-clubbing. Unusual feature: the circular back bar revolves when it gets busy.

    This trendy lounge barrestaurant is a relatively new adddition to the Pijp area.

  • 3. De Duivel

    Cypress Hill and The Roots have joined the boisterous baggy brigade at Amsterdam’s small but legendary hip hop bar. These days, the hip hop is melted down with anything from funk to disco.

  • 4. De Huyschkaemer

    A corner-located, split-level designer bar popular with a young arty crowd. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

    Knock back the cocktails while a DJ spins chillout music and upbeat house at this lounge bar-cumrestaurant serving international cuisine.
