  • A-One Inn

    Tucked just around the corner from Siam Square, the shoppers’ paradise, this upscale guesthouse has basic but clean rooms. The staff are friendly, there is Internet access, and it is only a few steps from the National Stadium Skytrain.

  • One of the city’s best-known hotels, the Ambassador occupies a prime site just off Sukhumvit Road. With everything a visitor might require, such as tailors, gift shops, a business center, laundry, and beauty salon all on site, the Ambassador is like a town in itself.

Very popular despite its high rates, the lodge features smart rooms with polished floors and balconies; those at the top are quieter. There is also a rooftop pool and even a spa with rates that appeal to budget travelers.

  • Calling itself a “five-star guesthouse,” Charlie House caters to individual travelers who enjoy modest living with a cordial atmosphere. Its rooms, though small, are carpeted and tastefully furnished and the staff are friendly.
