  • Huge shopping complex with fashion boutiques, jewelers, home decor outlets, a bowling alley, and cinemas.

  • Most of the ceramics on sale in Chinatown are functional rather than decorative, yet the ceramic shops are worth nosing around for unexpected treasures.

  • Chatuchak Weekend Market

Every weekend, the mother of all Thai markets, Chatuchak, throngs with young people looking for fashion accessories, middle-aged Thais wanting to decorate their homes, and foreigners looking for souvenirs of their stay in Thailand (see Chatuchak Weekend Market ).

  • An upscale mall, Emporium features a department store, designer boutiques, restaurants, and cafés.

  • Located next to the Erewan Shrine, this luxury mall has plenty of boutiques operated by famous names, as well as classy cafés and a wellness center.

  • There is nothing exclusive about the cheap trinkets on sale throughout Chinatown, particularly along Sampeng Lane . Plastic earrings, strings of beads, cuddly mobile phone covers, and sequined handbags are a few of the items on offer.

  • Flowers

Pak Khlong Market is the place to buy fresh flowers – either individual cut blooms or a bouquet mixing a few favorites. Temperate flowers such as roses mingle with orchids and lotus ginger.

  • The focus here is on fashion, with many successful young Thai designers displaying their wares. There are also many home decor outlets (see Gaysorn Plaza ).

  • This shopping mall pitches itself at the upper classes with designer boutiques, beauty salons, exclusive craft outlets, and pricey restaurants. The second floor features “Urban Chic Street,” where several Thai fashion designers have a display. Gaysorn Lifestyle Consultants proactively advise shoppers.

  • If you are seeking some gold ornamentation, check out the gold shops along Yaowarat Road , which sell 23-carat gold in a variety of designs.
