Beguiling and bewildering, subtle and brash, spiritual and sensual, Bangkok is one of Asia’s most intriguing cities. Its glittering temples and museums overflow with sumptuous art, and an exploration of the city’s canals and markets reveals the locals’ hospitable nature. Shopping for bargains, dining out, and reveling in the vibrant nightlife should feature high on everyone’s itinerary.

This is the strangest, most disturbing and yet fascinating museum you will ever come across! Although this is aimed at medical students interested in Forensic Medicine, it almost feels like it is more akin to the travelling freak shows of old. Its' exhibits in the parasitology, pathology and forensic departments will revisit you in your nightmares. Here you will find weapons used in murders, blood stained clothing and the bodies of victims.
The paristology department is particularly disturbing and exhibits dozens of babies. Some are conjoined, some stillborn and others have various tragic deformities.
It is the only museum that you will remember for the rest of your life. Entry is about 60p, don't eat beforehand!

The Big C stores are awesome. They are the Thai Walmart! They have pretty much everything, from clothes to personal items to food to electronics, you name it they have it. Definitely worth a stop even if you don't plan on buying anything it's just a fun store to browse and see all the different products they carry.

This is a marvellous place to visit where they have a great shop with everything made from Condoms! and there is also a Cafe. You can learn about the reason behind the place, which was to help Thailand curb its ever growing population by teaching its people Birth control. the idea grew and grew and was successful in its aim, all thanks to one man who wanted to help his people and his country. Please support this venture with a visit. It really is worth your time.

A wonderful place to visit, they make things from condoms and try to educate people to use them. This was all started by one man who wanted to help the overwhelming birthrate in thailand. It is well worth a visit and something that you will find NOWHERE else in the world

Grand old hotel as the name suggests in excellent location and roof top pool.

Cycling through the heart of Bangkok may not be something that immediately springs to mind, but the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority introduced "green" city bikes in 2008 to encourage tourists and locals to explore the Rattanakosin area. The bikes can be picked up from eight different points, and at the time of writing are free to hire. Cyclists must stick to the prescribed route - a cycle lane is marked out for most of it, but can make stops as long as the bikes are returned within three hours. A map is available with information about places of interest. Bangkok traffic takes a little getting used to, and beware of uneven drain covers on the road. Check the brakes before starting and enjoy the unusual way of seeing the city.

Modern fusion chinese food, quirky setting with prices reflecting the gourmet food, simply delicious.

This is a very cool hotel, I would definitely stay here again. It is very reasonable priced, very safe, the staff are great, it is located at a distance from the centre of Bangkok but very close to a train stop and shopping mall, and in addition to a great breakfast (that is included), it has laundry facilities on site as well as big public rooms/pillows to just relaxing/reading, or a pool for quiet swim.

Simple pleasures of sun, stunning natural beauty, beautiful rivers and spectacular waterfalls. Just little over 150km west of Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is the ideal travel escape from the fast paced life in the big city!
Ride elephants, see the bridge made famous by the movie 'Bridge over the River Kwai' or eat at one of the floating restaurants.
