At Citadines, you can rent a studio or an apartment with kitchen and living areas. The flats are available for single nights, but are better value for longer stays. Reasonably priced and centrally located in the Place Sainte-Catherine area.
-
6. Le Châtelain
Although its 1000 post code suggests central Brussels, this hotel is halfway along Avenue Louise, close to the Musée Horta. Its mixture of elegance and efficiency is reflected in its room prices.
-
7. Noga
This well-managed small hotel has a loyal following. Decorated in a mixture of modern and antique styles, it has a picturesque charm, and is centrally located in the tranquil Béguinage district, close to Place Sainte-Catherine.
-
8. George V
A small, friendly hotel in a 19th-century maison de maître, with touches of old-world English charm, the George V lies to the west of the Grand Place, close to the lively cafés and bars of Place Saint-Géry.
-
9. Des Eperonniers
A stone’s throw from the Grand Place, this hotel is excellent value, particularly for families or groups of up to six sharing. Occupying part of an old mansion house, it has some beamed rooms reminiscent of a baronial hall. The hotel’s welcoming and friendly atmosphere is in tune with the young crowd it attracts. The cheapest rooms have shared bathroom facilities.
-
10. Sleep Well Youth Hotel
Some aspects of this centrally located budget hotel resemble a youth hostel (shared bathrooms; rooms inaccessible 11am–3pm), but it offers clean, modern accommodation and represents extremely good value, especially for families or groups. A newer, more up-market annexe called the New Sleep Well has en-suite bathrooms and rooms at three times the price of the older ones.
