Hostería de Mont Sant, Xàtiva (Játiva)

This excellent restaurant serves traditional regional dishes on a pretty garden terrace.
Hostería Palacete Rural la Seda, nr Murcia

A beautiful 17th-century silk factory has been handsomely converted to house this elegant restaurant in a rural setting on the outskirts of Murcia City. It uses the freshest local produce, including fruit and vegetables grown in its own orchard, as well as freshly caught seafood from the Mar Menor.
I Fratelli

Classic Italian cuisine adapted for the taste buds of northern European guests is what’s on the menu at this popular restaurant with Art Deco-inspired decor.
Jota Ele

Another local favourite, Jota Ele has excellent old-fashioned tapas, including delicious local hams and conserves, as well as smoked fish.
La Almadraba, Isla Tabarca

Traditional restaurant with a pretty terrace overlooking the port. The menu offers plenty of local dishes, including caldero tabarquino (see Isla Tabarca).

La Casa del Reloj, San Pedro del Pinatar

This beautiful 19th-century mansion contains several elegant dining spaces set around a patio, and a piano bar. Particularly good rice dishes.

There are dozens of tapas bars along the Calle Santo Domingo. This one serves a huge range and is incredibly popular as a result, so expect to find standing room only.
