Saint John's Bonfires

The Fogueres de Sant Joan is Alicante's main fiesta, paying homage to Saint John and celebrating the summer solstice with bonfires and fireworks. In 2008 the event celebrates its 80th anniversary, so expect an extra-special commemorative programme of events.
