  • This pleasant café-bar has tables outside in a shady garden, and serves good coffee, sandwiches, snacks and pastries.

  • You will hear the latest Greek and international hits here, a popular haunt with local twenty-somethings and visitors alike. Famed for its café frappé.

  • Black and White, Agia Napa

Favouring classic soul and R&B, this small, crowded club is another Agia Napa institution.

  • It’s always party time at this loud and lively Pafos music bar, which is famous for its strong cocktails.

  • Café Vienna, Pafos

More sedate and stylish than most of Pafos’s bars, Café Vienna is a shady retreat serving excellent coffee, pastries and sandwiches.

  • Carwash, Agia Napa

Unlike many of its rivals on the Agia Napa nightlife scene, Carwash stays open all year round. It also sticks to a policy of playing only dance music from the 1970s and 1980s.

  • A huge club with three indoor rooms and a large dance floor outside, with music played by top international DJs.

  • Larnaka’s nightlife is less Brit-oriented than Agia Napa’s and Circus is no exception. With a strong local audience, its music embraces Greek pop and rock as well as mainstream dance.

  • Famed for its R&B nights in the summer, which feature bigname DJs from the UK and elsewhere, this is one of the hottest places in Cyprus for R&B and garage music. An added attraction are the foam and popcorn parties.

  • A local favourite, stylish Corridor closes for the summer, then re-opens in late September for a 20- to 30-something crowd.
