  • Overlooking the harbour, the Liman is a quietly stylish hotel that appears to make most of its profits from its small casino. Bow-tied doormen stand on duty day and night. The hotel’s outdoor restaurant across the street is a very pleasant place enjoy breakfast.

  • Overlooking Fig Tree Bay is this delightful village-style resort with accommodation in 140 cottages in landscaped grounds, surrounding a central square with supermarket, two restaurants and a kindergarten. The “Family World Centre” offers donkey rides, a pet farm, cinema and dancing lessons, and there’s a programme of entertainment.

  • Louis Apollonia Beach, Limassol

    This fine hotel has a huge pool to complement its small private beach where there are watersports on offer. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the restaurant overlooks the beach.

  • This resort complex is just 20 minutes from the centre of Pafos. There are three pools, including a children’s pool, and the 78 rooms, laid out around well-kept gardens, all have satellite TV and a kitchenette.

  • Louis Ledra Beach, Pafos

    This 4-star resort has comfortable rooms and a range of all-inclusive facilities, including adults’ and children’s pools, playground, three bars and a restaurant. A five-minute drive from Pafos, it is on one of the area’s best beaches.

  • Louis Nausicaa Beach, Protaras

    The best studios and apartments in southern Cyprus are to be found here, on a landscaped headland overlooking Fig Tree Bay. The low-rise complex of whitewashed buildings features two pools and a private beach. There’s a small supermarket on site, but for those who do not choose to cater for themselves there is also a choice of bars and restaurants.

  • Louis Phaethon Beach, Pafos

    The huge, 4-star Louis Phaethon Beach offers all-inclusive rates and facilities that include two restaurants, three bars and three pools (one for kids). Also in the package are all non-motorized watersports, a sauna, Jacuzzi, squash and badminton, as well as meals.

  • The Louis Princess stands on a huge stretch of uncrowded beach, but also has its own pool. Accommodation is in a choice of rooms and suites, as well as studios in two poolside wings. There are two restaurants, three bars, a gym, sauna, and a children’s activity centre. Larnaca’s nightlife is only 10 minutes away.

  • The friendly Lover’s Nest Valley has just 30 studios and one-bedroom apartments but a wider range of facilities than any of its local rivals, including a pool, a laundry, a bar (but no restaurant) and air conditioning.

  • Surrounded by landscaped gardens and with its own stretch of beach, the Poseidonia offers a children’s playground and pool, a big choice of restaurants and bars, watersports and its own nightclub.
