  • 1. Skylight Swimming Pool Restaurant, Platres

    Just the place to cool off after a drive around the Troodos, the Skylight restaurant has its own swimming pool – free to diners, with a minimal charge for those just dropping in for a cold drink. The menu features fresh mountain trout, an array of dishes from the charcoal grill, and some decent local wines.

  • 2. A&J Village Taverna, Platres

    This traditional taverna is an ideal year-round choice: in warm weather there are tables outside under a shady terrace, and in the cooler months there is a large, cosy indoor dining room. The menu runs the gamut of Cypriot dishes to grilled trout and international favourites.

  • 3. Psilodendro Trout Farm Restaurant

    Catch your trout, then eat it at this open-air restaurant on the northern outskirts of Platres. Also serves kebabs, mixed grills and salads.
