  • Billed as an “art café”, 1900 takes its name and design inspiration from the building in which it is housed – a town-house that dates from the turn of the 19th century. The music is a mix of classical, jazz and easy-listening rock, and the emphasis is on good coffee and wine.

Delightful combination of a ground-floor whiskey and beer bar run by friendly host Marios Dianellos and a first-floor restaurant blessed with the delicious cooking talents of Maria Pyrgos. Both the bar and the restaurant are studded with art works by Maria and other artists and images of divas of the first half of the past century, with some autographed pictures of modern celebrities thrown in. Try to book the table on the balcony for a romantic meal. Fine vegetarian and meat dishes, very reasonable prices and a distinct flavour of timeless Cypriot hospitality.
