  • 1. Vassos Fish Harbour Restaurant, Agia Napa

A super eating place beside Agia Napa’s harbour, where there’s always something to watch while you eat (including the restaurant’s pet pelican). The grilled fish is the best in Agia Napa and the seafood meze is a treat.

  • 2. Palazzo Bianco, Agia Napa

Palazzo Bianco’s pizza and pasta will set you up for a heavy night’s partying.

  • 3. Spartiatis, Agia Napa

The seafood meze here is made with the freshest of ingredients and beautifully presented. A good choice of Cypriot wines too.

  • 4. Limelight Taverna, Agia Napa

Booking is essential at Agia Napa’s most traditional taverna . The best dishes come from the charcoal grill: pork, lamb, steak, lobster and fresh fish.

  • 5. Marquis de Napa, Agia Napa

Everything from pizza to steak and chips, as well as Cypriot favourites and a reasonable selection for vegetarians.

  • 6. Monte Carlo, Larnaca

The best tables here are on the seaside terrace, which juts out into the water. Monte Carlo’s meze is among the most generous, and their moussaka also comes highly recommended.

  • 7. Krateon, Larnaca

Reservations are compulsory at Larnaca’s smartest restaurant. The menu is French, and so is the ambience within this stylish old mansion with high ceilings and restrained decor. The ideal venue for a romantic holiday dinner.

  • 8. Pyla Fish Tavern, Larnaca

Mouthwatering seafood at this long-established restaurant includes prawns, octopus, squid, sea bass and swordfish and much more.

  • 9. Ambelos, Livadia

Taverna -eating at its best, in an old village house with a terrace draped with vines. A good choice of charcoal-grilled dishes, meze and local wines.

  • 10. Tochni Taverna, Tochni

The terrace here has pretty views over the valley, and there’s a small pool if you want a dip before your meal.
