  • 1. Elysium Royal Villas, Pafos

Each of the Elysium’s 12 “Royal Villas” has its own landscaped garden and private pool. It is linked to the larger luxury resort of the same name (see Elysium Beach Resort, Pafos).

  • 2. Villa Evi, Pafos

One of the few villas to have been awarded official deluxe status, Evi has three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight. Facilities include a pool. The bright lights of Pafos are not far away.

  • 3. Villa D’Amore, Pegeia

Between Pegeia village and Coral Bay, and less than 15 minutes drive from Pafos, Villa D’Amore overlooks the sea. The villa also has its own pool.

  • 4. Villa Eleni, Pegeia

Set amid fields and vineyards, Villa Eleni is not far from Coral Bay and the quieter beaches of the Akamas peninsula (see Akamas Peninsula). An elegant modern two-storey building in Neo-Classical style, it has neatly kept lawns, a patio and a good-sized pool.

  • 5. Cypria Aphrodite, Pegeia

This large and comfortable “home away from home” has better facilities than most villas, including the luxury of satellite TV, as well as air-conditioned bedrooms and, naturally, a pool. Coral Bay, the Akamas beaches and Pafos are all within easy reach.

  • 6. Villa Aphrodite, Polis

This pretty lavender-painted villa is the nicest of a newly built “village” of self-contained holiday houses on the outskirts of Polis, right on the long beach. The two-storey houses are well-appointed, set around recently planted palms and flowering oleander. Each villa also benefits from its own pool.

  • 7. Bougainvillea, Polis

A choice of two villas, each sleeping six people and each with a pool, between unpretentious Polis and hideaway Neo Chorio. The beaches of Chrysochou Bay, the harbour tavernas of Lakki and the forested wilderness of the Akamas peninsula are not far away.

  • 8. Chrysanthia, Neo Chorio

Chrysanthia is a larger-than-average family villa – it can sleep up to eight people in air-conditioned comfort, with its own pool and off-road parking, close to the sea and the harbour at Latsi.

  • 9. Villa Michaella, Neo Chorio

Combining modern facilities with an old-fashioned welcome from the owners, Michaella is delightfully located overlooking Chrysochou Bay. It has a large pool and a beautifully kept garden, and sleeps up to six people.

  • 10. Nausicaa Villa Suites, Protaras

Attached to the Louis Nausicaa Hotel at Fig Tree Bay (see Louis Nausicaa Beach, Protaras), these offer the best of both worlds: the privacy and flexibility of a villa, with all the facilities of a luxury hotel on call. Each of the suites is self-contained with a fabulously appointed kitchen and dining room opening onto a private terrace, garden and pool with sea views. Upstairs are two double en-suite bedrooms.
