The menu is limited to simple food such as chicken. Fela’s is essentially a fast-food restaurant.
2. El Gran Segovia

An air-conditioned restaurant with rustic wooden seating and nautical decor. The cuisine is typically Dominican with lots of local seafood.
3. Cira

The tables at this friendly place with a family ambience, are set in the garden amid trees and flowers. The menu’s based mostly around goat and fish.
4. Francia

Large helpings of good value, traditional Dominican dishes, served in simple surroundings.
5. Las Salinas

Casual bar and restaurant overlooking Las Salinas. Popular with sailors for its seafood, burgers, and pasta.
6. El Gran Artesa

Located in Hotel Caribani, this upmarket, air-conditioned restaurant serves Dominican and international food, either à la carte or from a buffet.
7. El Quemaíto

A quiet, nicely presented, rustic restaurant with lovely views across a garden and the sea. Both Swiss and local fare are served.
8. Brisas del Caribe

The best restaurant in town, with delicious seafood and good service, in pleasant surroundings. Packed at lunchtime.
9. Punta Inglesa

Large Dominican restaurant at Hotel Caribe on the Malecón. Enjoy the air-conditioning indoors or the cool terrace. Good value menú del día with seafood.
10. Casa Bonita

Eat al fresco in a lovely setting on a hillside. The restaurant is open all day and is very busy during Dominican holidays (see Casa Bonita, Barahona).
