    A small complex of two-bedroom apartments on the seashore. The kitchens and bathrooms are basic but adequate. The complex has a small pool and a bar.

  • 2. Haciendas El Choco, Sosuá

    This place has villas with every comfort including private swimming pools, large thatched verandas, and tropical gardens. It offers full service with maid, gardener, and pool maintenance.

  • 3. Palm Beach Condos, Cabarete

    These roomy condos on the beach are privately owned, individually decorated, and walking distance from the beaches and bars in Cabarete.

  • 4. Bahía de Arena, Cabarete

    A group of villas and apartments set on the outskirts of Cabarete, within in walking distance of shops and restaurants. There is a central communal area with a pool, a Jacuzzi, a tennis court, and a small shop for essential supplies, as well as a Swiss restaurant.

    This attractive modern complex of condos offers parking and 24-hour security. Each condo has two bedrooms and bathrooms, and is comfortably furnished with tiled floors, air conditioning, and fans. Monthly rates are a particularly good deal.

  • 10. Cabana Elke, Bayahibe

    Studio apartments in a small hotel just behind the all-inclusive Wyndham Dominicus Beach Resort (see Wyndham Dominicus Palace/Beach, Bayahibe), where you can buy a day pass to use the facilities. They also have a restaurant and a bar.
