The Bureau of Reclamation opened an impressive $125 million visitor center and parking lot in 1995. The three-level, circular center includes a rooftop overlook, a rotating theater, and a gallery. A hot-air balloon company and The Little White Chapel collaborate to provide airborne weddings. The balloon hovers above the Las Vegas neon while the nuptial knot is tied.

One of the city’s most popular after-dark spots, House of Blues is a restaurant by day and a nightclub when no major concerts are booked. Flashback Fridays focus on music of the 1980s. A Sunday Gospel Brunch features a Southern-style buffet accompanied by live gospel music. There’s live blues Thursday through Saturday – featuring such big-name entertainers as B. B. King, Sheryl Crow, and the Blues Brothers. Even if you don’t like blues, visit just for the decor alone – the place is crammed with folk art.
