  • 1. Bellagio Wedding Chapels

Bellagio’s two chapels provide some of the most elegant and romantic wedding venues in Las Vegas. Both have a stained glass window behind the altar, while ornate lamps and chandeliers of amethyst and Venetian glass compliment the pastel shades of the furnishings. Personalized services are available for room reservations as well as both wedding and reception planning.

  • 2. Viva Las Vegas

Don’t let the humble, rustic interior cramp your style: the chapel has a selection of fancy costumes at your disposal, covering such themes as Egyptian, Beach Party, Victorian, Gangster, Western, and even Intergalactic.

  • 3. Little Church of the West

The Little Church opened in 1942, making it one of the oldest wedding chapels in town. It is a favorite with the stars: Zsa Zsa Gabor and George Saunders, Betty Grable and band leader Harry James, and model Cindy Crawford and actor Richard Gere have all graced its portals.

  • 4. Jewish Temples

Very few churches and synagogues – as distinct from wedding chapels – perform “walk-in” ceremonies. Marriage requirements vary from congregation to congregation. Contact Temple Beth Shalom or Temple Adat Ari El for more information.

  • 5. Christ Church Episcopal

This traditional Episcopal church is the closest one to the Strip. Bear in mind that churches in the Episcopal Diocese of Nevada require pre-nuptial meetings with the church’s rector before a wedding can be performed.

  • 6. Guardian Angel Cathedral

Just steps away from the dazzling, bustling Strip, the Roman Catholic cathedral is refreshingly spartan. The giant triangular mosaic decorating the façade depicts a guardian angel and three figures representing Penance, Prayer, and – perhaps most elusive of all – Peace.

  • 7. Canterbury Wedding Chapels

Create your own version of Camelot by renting period costumes and tying the knot in one of Excalibur’s two medieval-style chapels. Vow-renewal services are also on offer for the already-wed.

  • 8. Island Wedding Chapel

Located at the Tropicana, this chapel offers wedding ceremonies in a tropical paradise. There are two options on offer – take your pick from a ceremony in the lush Polynesian Gardens Gazeba or the South Seas-style palm-thatched Chapel. The Island Wedding Chapel was voted lushest chapel in Las Vegas by Brides Magazine in 1999.

  • 9. The Little White Chapel

This chapel represents what for many people is the epitome of Las Vegas; it has acquired a reputation for hosting rather unusual weddings. It was here in the spring of 2001 that a mass wedding took place, officiated by multiple Elvises. For the bride and groom who are acting on mad impulse or whose hectic lives leave them only a few minutes to spare, the Little White Chapel offers the world’s only Drive-Up Wedding Window. The window never closes, and no appointment is necessary.

  • 10. Hot-air Balloon Ceremonies

A hot-air balloon company and The Little White Chapel collaborate to provide airborne weddings. The balloon hovers above the Las Vegas neon while the nuptial knot is tied.
