This treeless expanse, enjoyed by kite flyers, lies behind Greenwich Park. Donkey rides can be taken around the edge, and on the far side is Blackheath Village.

This is a delighful place to go out for an evening meal. Being a very small district, mostly made up of small restaurants it it easy to pick where you want to go without having to walk very far. The range of independent and chain restaurants such as Cafe Rouge, are all classy and bohemian with inviting colours and smells to beckon you. The Cobbled streets sloping down from the expanse of Blackheath and the large steepled church are reminiscent of a Michel Delacriox painting. To inpress a first date, Yes! To celebrate a 50th Anniversary, or a 30th Birthday, Yes!
