a great place for families. Children will love the hands on activities. Although the museum is free you do have to pay for the IMAX theatre - which I recommend as its amazing - and for the simulators if your child wishes to go on them. You get a discount if buying tickets for both and if travelling by public transport look on stations for the booklet offering discount vouchers. The food is expensive (we go to a chip shop by South Ken tube instead) and in school holidays you may have to queue for the interactive exhibits. Get there when the museum opens and visit these first, doing the IMAX later when you need the rest. If you are carrying luggage you can leave it in the basement cloakroom for a small fee.
