A city of infinite colour and variety, London is both richly historic, tracing its roots back over 2000 years, and unceasingly modern, at the forefront of fashion, music and the arts. There is a fantastic amount to interest and entertain the visitor here: a selection of the best of the best is explored here.

A pedestrian only suspension bridge that links the architecture of St Paul's Cathedral with the Tate Modern Museum in the Southwark area. Opened in June 2000, it provides a wonderful link between 2 architectural wonders and offers views to the east and west of the Thames.

If you are into trying different tastes and experimenting like I am, this is a place you must visit. It has a great atmosphere and very delicious dishes for good price range.

Absolut Ice Bar London is the first permanent bar made of ice in the UK. The bar is kept at minus 5 degrees all year round and everything inside is made out of ice transported from the Torne River in Sweden.
The walls, bar, tables, and even the glasses are made out of ice. The Absolut Ice Bar is operated in 40 minute time slots and you are given a thermal cape with a hood to keep you warm during your visit.
Every six months the bar is completely re-designed with a brand new design.
The Absolut Ice Bar was such a great experience and was the talking point for the whole weekend!

Fab shop selling a wide variety of tshirts in all sorts of colours and styles. Shops at several locations throughout the city.

The Aquarium Bar on Old Street is horrible; it mostly serves as a place for the yellow shortsleeved beshirted chavs awaiting their entrance into the temple of vomitessness that is the Aquarium nightclub to drink the requisite number of pints that they can consider themselves attractive enough to pull. HOWEVER, it has a large, plain, very high up roof terrace, which is a sun trap all afternoon and surprisingly chilled. It's a very well kept secret.

Vietnamese restaurant - spacious place, good food and lovely staff.

The interior of The Australian High Commission features in the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as the Wizard Bank, Gringotts. Run by Goblins, the bank keeps witches and wizards money and valuables safely locked away. The building isn't usually open to the public but you can peer through the main door to try and sneak a look.
-
Cute, low-lit bar serving a myriad of cocktails. Mojitos are particularly good with lots of fresh mint.
-
This is a really small, atmospheric tapas restaurant serving authentic and tasty dishes.
-
Excellent self-service veggie eatery. Good selection of hot and cold dishes. Highly recommended.
