  • Masters Super Fish

A good ol' regular fish and chip shop. With plenty of fish choices on the menu (e.g. Cod, Huss, Haddock, Plaice, Skate), you'll be sure to find something that catches your fancy. Three complimentary cooked prawns and bread rolls are plonked at your table the moment you sit down, this place proves to be cheap and cheerful. To get there, head south from Waterloo Station, the restaurant is just past the Old Vic Theatre.

  • Located within the iconic Shakespeare's Globe theatre on the banks of the Thames, the Swan has a warm and welcoming interior ideal for business dining and intimate dinner parties. With stunning views of St Paul's cathedral, the venue has live music every Friday and Saturday night, its own bar on the ground floor - perfect for lunching and socialising, a brasserie for romantic rendezvous and pre-theatre meals, and several private dining rooms perfect for events and parties. The restaurant's gourmet British menu is sourced from local farmers and markets, and is complimented by a boutique wine list. Star dishes include the Gressingham Duck, and the pear and almond tart.

  • Val Taro is a n Italian restaurant half way between Trafalgar and Leicester Square. It has a wine bar downstairs and main restaurant on the ground floor. Although it is quite old fashioned, it is friendly, welcoming, never too busy and serves huge bowls of excellent pasta for £7.00.
