  • Viper Room

Celebrities like to hang out with their own kind, so it’s no wonder that the VIP booths at this Johnny Depp-owned nightclub are often filled with his personal pals. Occasionally, stars such as Bruce Springsteen or the Wallflowers take to the stage, but these coveted concerts are rarely advertised (see Viper Room, Viper Room ).

  • This little museum relives the days of the Wild West and houses an original stagecoach and a gold nugget from the Gold Rush.

  • This 1926 building has a rare collection of English books only available to scholars, and an oak-paneled music room.

  • Flanking Windward Avenue are Venice’s oldest Renaissance-style buildings, including St. Marks Hotel, a hostel.

  • This friendly yoga studio offers 150 classes weekly for all levels. If you don’t know your downward-facing dog from your sun salutation, take an introductory class to learn about basic postures and breathing techniques.
