  • Founded by a popular preacher with a flair for theatrics, this 1923 domed building was once the headquarters of the Foursquare Gospel Church.

  • One of Hollywood’s biggest icons is not an actress, singer, or model. She’s Angelyne, the self-proclaimed “Love Goddess of Hollywood,” famous for showing off her gravity-defying physical attributes on giant billboards. Occasionally spotted driving around town in her pink Corvette, Angelyne enjoys a worldwide fan club and has been featured in movies and countless articles.

  • Ken Bannister is so bananas over the yellow fruit that he has collected 17,000 banana-themed items and even earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records . Arranged in a rather haphazard fashion in his tiny storefront “museum” are bananas made of plastic, glass, plus toys, T-shirts, tobacco, and even a petrified banana!

  • Max out your credit card while keeping an eye out for superstars and celebrities at this luxurious department store. All the major designers from Armani to Helmut Lang and Dolce & Gabbana are represented here. Take in the nice views from the outdoor tables in the rooftop deli.

  • The game’s always on at Venice’s famous outdoor courts, especially during “Hoops by the Beach,” which draws the best street basketball teams.

    LA’s main library consists of the original 1926 building, an exotic Beaux-Arts design by Bertram Goodhue, and an art-filled atrium added in 1993.
