  • Purdy’s Macadamia Nut Farm

A small, one-acre family farm, with personal tours conducted by the Purdy family. Their 80-year-old macadamia trees produce luscious nuts, which you can taste in all stages of development.

  • Queen Ka’ahumanu Center

Maui’s largest shopping center, this two-level mall is where you’ll find national chains like Macy’s, The Gap, and Sharper Image, alongside quintessentially local stores like Camelia Seed Shop (local snacks).

  • The former offers souvenirs and resort wear, and has a great little kiosk called Maui Espresso. The latter is home to 24-hour eatery Denny’s, postal services, and Whalers General Store, for everything from toiletries to souvenirs.

  • Reyn’s

Best known for the “insideout” aloha shirts sported by every businessman in the state, Reyn’s also makes great women’s wear.

  • A true old-fashioned general store, there’s a little bit of everything you might need here. In addition to groceries and sundries, you can stock up on fishing and camping gear, clothing, wine, and cold beer.

  • Known for its delicious deli foods and excellent wine selection, Rodeo also administers to regular grocery needs too. And yup, every now and again a cowboy rides up on horseback.

  • The supermarket’s deli is fabulous, and the on-site bakery turns out the best artisan breads on the Island.

  • One of Hawai’i’s best-loved fabric and fashion designers, Sig Zane is almost single-handedly responsible for the revitalization of Market St. in Wailuku. His fabrics, mostly depicting native Hawaiian flora and fauna, are instantly recognizable.

  • You can’t leave Maui without a few sweet, juicy pineapples! This shop packs up all of Maui’s best edible produce – papaya, Maui onions, coconuts, macadamia nuts – and will even deliver your order right to the airport.

  • A clothing boutique that seems more suited to Honolulu than little Lāna’i. But Genna Gentry’s assortment of swimsuits, casual clothing, and chic evening wear are tailormade for well-heeled vacationers.
