Museo Nacional de Historia
-
This museum has two sections – the Alcázar and the Castillo. The vast collections of the museum are housed in the rooms of Castillo de Chapultepec, the former residence of Mexican presidents. The fascinating collections cover four centuries and are arranged chronologically. The Alcázar section is an astonishing house-museum which preserves the lavish lifestyle of Mexico’s leaders from 1864 to 1939. The Castillo section offers a glimpse into the turbulent history of Mexico between the Spanish conquest under Cortés and the Mexican Revolution).
