In a serene, shaded world of botanical gardens, this plantation-style property is certainly Key West’s grande dame among guesthouses. Five buildings comprise the hotel, including a Bahamian “eyebrow” cottage. All rooms have garden views and most have Jacuzzis. All in all, sumptuous.
-
“Tiffany,” as proclaimed by the neon tower, was The Hotel’s name until the famous jewelry company sued. It’s so long on style and comfort, designed by Todd Oldham, that it qualifies as a work of art in itself.
-
Cozy hotel radiating Mediterranean charm, with lavish fountains and plush interiors.
-
One of Key West’s very finest, a 1904 beauty, with colonial Caribbean décor and wonderful gardens. Rooms have period furnishings, and they feel private and deeply cozy. Full breakast is served by the pool; wine in the afternoons.
-
Facing the sea, directly on Hollywood Beach’s Broadwalk, each accommodation is a spacious efficiency (self-catering) apartment.
-
This fully restored Art Deco landmark hotel, with its distinctive coral rock entrance, is in the heart of all SoBe attractions. The décor is epitomized by cool, white linen and overstuffed sofas and easy chairs in all rooms. Superb service.
-
This is a genuine Art Deco building, complete with neon marquee, in one of the most desirable locations on South Beach. It’s clean and comfortable and, given the location, worth two to three times the asking price. There’s even a pool. Book far in advance.
-
Very grand, indeed, with oriental carpets, marble accents, and hundreds of acres of landscaped islands and waterways, a golf course, tennis courts, spa, private beach, and harbor. The feeling is clubby, welcoming, and very, very rich.
-
All rooms have French doors that open onto the sunny courtyard and garden, and are nicely renovated and decorated with appealingly upholstered wrought iron furniture. Each accommodation has a full kitchen.
-
Two buildings with multilevel walkways and decks and two heated pools, plus garden areas, all combine to give this place that special resort feel. Every unit is a complete apartment in itself.
