  • 1. A & B Lobster House

Located in the heart of Key West in a renovated historic building. Maine lobster, fresh shrimp, and waterfront views. There are two dining rooms – the more expensive one is upstairs.

  • 2. Rick’s Blue Heaven

You’ll never forget the charm and delicious food at this wonderful place (see Key West).

  • 3. Mangoes

A meal here is not to be missed, not only for the exciting food – such as their signature wild mushroom and truffle “martini” – but also because the place is so central to Key West life.

  • 4. Louie’s Backyard

Haute cuisine in a breezy, easy setting right on the Atlantic. Enticing menu items include arugula and spinach with sweethot mustard vinaigrette and crispy duck wontons, and knockout desserts.

  • 5. One Duval

The chef utilizes the abundance of ingredients indigenous to the Caribbean and the Florida peninsula, but prepares them with a flourish that redefines regional cuisine. The lobster with marinated plantain is a tour de force.

  • 6. El Siboney

Great Cuban food in abundance in a friendly, no-nonsense setting. Lots of diversity, such as roast pork with casava and tamale , breaded palomilla steak, or stuffed crab.

  • 7. Duval Beach Club

Owned by actress Kelly McGillis, this restaurant-snack bar is easy-going and pleasant, serving mostly sandwiches, salads, and great breakfasts.

  • 8. Awful Arthur’s

Great oysters, crab legs, spicy steamed peel-and-eat shrimp, clams, mussels, crawfish, conch fritters, and Island rum drinks to wash it all down.

  • 9. Camille’s

Homemade buckwheat pancakes or fresh snapper with a nut crust help make this a favorite for Sunday brunch among the Conch cognoscenti.

  • 10. Mangia Mangia Pasta Café

Open for lunch and dinner, this centrally located Italian eatery has superb fresh pasta. As a result, it’s always busy and a firm local favorite. Tasty sauces, and great lasagne.
