  • 1. Gay and Lesbian Community Center, Key West

    There’s always plenty of information here for the taking, as well as occasional events.

  • 2. Bourbon Street Complex

    Included here are the popular Bourbon Street Pub, the 801 Bourbon Bar, 1 Saloon, Magnolia’s and Pizza Joe’s, and The New Orleans House, a gay guesthouse. 801 features drag shows every night in the upstairs bar.

  • 3. Atlantic Shores Resort

    Right on the water, with its own deck, pool, and pier, they’ve been sponsoring a Tea Dance every Sunday evening for over 20 years. Clothing always optional. Open to participants of all sexual inclinations.

  • 4. La-Te-Da

    More upscale than the other venues, and with its own excellent restaurant, too, this is a popular gay and lesbian spot of long-standing. “Guys as Dolls” and other acts in the Crystal Room Cabaret every night.

  • 5. KWEST

    Multi-bar complex featuring a nightly drag show, men dancing for men, a leather bar and shop, and occasional theme nights.

  • 6. Graffiti

    Trendy and pricey styles designed with the young gay male in mind. Most of the fashions are understated, but there’s also a good selection of flash to suit the mood of this sybaritic island.

  • 7. In Touch

    Lots of amusing erotica, cards, sexy clothing, toys, and other same-sex fun stuff for both gay men and lesbians.

  • 8. Xposure

    Rather extreme club wear for men – animal prints, imitation snakeskin, day-glow plastic – at not so extreme prices.

  • 9. Leatherotica

    The smell of leather wafts your way as soon as you enter, and all of it’s black, with stainless steel studs. You can watch the craftsman at his work table, shaping the leather into various hard-wearing items.

  • 10. AIDS Memorial

    Squares of black granite are engraved with the names of about a thousand Conchs who have been taken by the disease, along with some poignant, inspirational poetry.
