  • 1. The Gallery at Kona Kai Resort

Impressive selection of international artwork, including painting (Sobran and Magni), sculpture (Pollès bronzes), and stunning Keys nature photography.

  • 2. Treasure Village

An inviting complex, notable for the giant lobster sculpture outside and a real parrot in the central courtyard, which houses crafts and specialty shops.

  • 3. Archeo

Rare African masks and wood carvings, combined with dozens of stunning Persian rugs, make this shop one of the most beautiful in town.

  • 4. Environmental Circus

“Let the flowers grow and the music flow.” This delirious shop (est. 1970) is like entering a time warp and returning to the dippy days of hippie hedonism. Headshop apparatus, weird comics, and flower-child fashions, too.

  • 5. Key West Aloe

A company that has made their own all-natural products right here since 1971, without any animal testing.

  • 6. Cuba! Cuba!

Since Key West is closer to Cuba than to the Florida mainland, it makes sense to find a Cuban crafts shop here, despite the official embargo. Items include handmade boxes, dolls, and paintings.

  • 7. Key West Hand Print

In one of the few brick buildings that survived the great fire of 1886, this huge store sells hand-printed fabrics and fashions.

  • 8. Peppers of Key West

A wonderful range of spicy sauces for all purposes – from barbecuing to killing off your enemies.

  • 9. Grand Vin

Great wines from around the world at good prices, and the chance to try many of them by the glass. Sit out on the porch and watch the life on the street.

  • 10. Conch Republic Cigar Factory

“Savor the flavor of paradise” is their motto, and this old factory probably does, in fact, turn out the next best thing to a genuine Cuban stogie. Prices range from $3 to $10.75 for a single cigar.
