11th Street Diner

Classic diner from 1948, originally built in Pennsylvania.
Abbey Dining Room

Balans

An eclectic mix of Asian and Mediterranean influences, this chic, London-style café is popular, loud, and a SoBe standard-bearer. Great choice for a non-buffet Sunday brunch.
Barton G – The Restaurant

The lush, tropical orchid garden is a great setting for a romantic evening under the stars. Popular with locals, the food is neo-classic American.
China Grill

A fusion cuisine pioneer. Portions are not pretentiously miniscule; tastes are light and cleverly composed. Try the sakemarinated chicken.
Clevelander

Facing the beach and on the sidewalk, there’s always something going on here: listening to the live music, having something to eat, or just checking out the passersby.
Escopazzo

Solid Italian fare. Swordfish carpaccio, asparagus flan, and risotto are hits (see Escopazzo, South Beach).
Front Porch Café

Many consider the breakfast here to be the best in South Beach. The atmosphere’s homey, and the food’s definitely worth the wait.
Joe’s Stone Crab

Co-owned by pop Cuban songstress Gloria Estefan, it’s cocina cubana prepared SoBestyle. Try the appetizer sampler for starters and some rico mojitos (yummy rum drink with mint leaves).
