    Undoubtedly Miami’s top art museum, featuring extraordinary works from European, American, Chinese, Pre-Columbian, and Native American cultures.

  • 2. The Wolfsonian

    The perfect complement to the unique Deco District, this is a museum and design research institute with over 70,000 modern design exhibits.

  • 3. Bass Museum of Art

    A collection of Western fine art and design, and historical pictures of Miami Beach.

  • 4. Norton Museum of Art

    One of South Florida’s finest, its European collection displays works by Rembrandt, Goya, Renoir, and Picasso. Americans include O’Keeffe and Pollock, and the museum also has strong ancient Chinese and Pre-Columbian collections.

  • 5. Miami Art Museum

    Besides impressive temporary shows, MAM’s collection focuses on art since the 1940s, and includes works by Frankenthaler, Gottleib, Rauschenberg, and Stella.

  • 6. Cuban Museum of the Americas

    Starting as far back in prehistory as 10,000 years, the museum slips swiftly through the millennia to reach Spanish colonization, Seminole culture, extravagance in the “Roaring Twenties,” and Cuban immigration in more recent years.

  • 9. Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum

    This excellent museum features Seminole artifacts, such as pottery and beautiful clothing. The Green Corn Ceremony is explained also, including the games, music, dance, and costumes involved. Outside, a nature trail leads through the cypress canopy, where signs explain the use of certain flora in Seminole culture (see Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki and Billie Swamp).
