  • With live jazz, funk, and soul, this is a club where music lovers can experience the real thing.

  • In 1999, this traditional beer haven high above the Isar burned to the ground. Since 2003, however, politicians have once again gathered in the reconstructed Paulaner pub for the annual Salvator beer tapping. When this star-studded event has ended, “ordinary” patrons flock to the pub on the mountain for a taste of dark bock beer, which has an 18 per cent alcohol content.

  • With 13 discos, clubs, and a Spiegelzelt (mirrored tent), the Optimolwerke complex is located next door to the Kultfabrik.

  • Hangout of FC Bayern football club players and other celebrities, with a reputation that reaches far beyond Munich. Extremely strict doormen are infamous for refusing entry to “ordinary folk.” On weekdays, P1 feels like a lounge rather than a nightclub.

  • This nightclub, consisting of two floors with a restaurant, is perfect for a night of dancing with a Spanish flavour.

  • Here, DJs keep the dance floor hopping with “black music” for Munich’s beau monde . Special events round out the club’s programme. For a more sedate evening, make your way to the club’s beer garden.

  • Pauline monks in the Au began to brew beer as far back as 1634. Salvator beer is still made using monk Barnabas Still’s 18th-century recipe.

  • Extremely cosy pub thanks to the reconstructed dark-wood interior and fittings. On tap is the homebrew of the traditional Paulaner brewery. Venison is a highlight of the menu.

  • Featuring rock, oldies, and jazz, this is a 30-year-old institution.

  • This classic piano bar with a long-standing tradition offers more than 200 cocktails.
