take a trip south-east along the autobahn... and turn off at freilassing...before you get to salzburg....follow the salzach river on the german side of the border, through laufen to tittmoning....there you will find an imposing castle citadel dating back to the 12th century...perched on a hill...packed full of interest with ramparts and turrets to explore....on a glorious spring/summers day you can see forever........ tittmoning...a typical sleepy bavarian town of around 2,000 inhabitants is very welcoming with lots of atmosphere...lovely restaurants and bars....and shopping for those who must....!
