The key element to a proper British chip is fat, and the flabby, pale yellow specimens here come close to the ideal. If you really love them, try the chip buttie (a chip sandwich, essentially). Either way, salt and vinegar are essential. Don't be afraid of the deep-fried Mars Bar for dessert: it's delicious.

Superb seafood, and in particular famous for having over twenty different kinds of Oysters from both the Atlantic and Pacific coastal waters of North America. A lively atmosphere, but attentive and prompt service ensures you never feel ignored. Highly recommended.

The best slices in Manhattan, served up in a quirky standing room only pizzeria!! Brave the lines for the signature artichoke and spinach slice - a heavy cream/butter/wine sauce on a thick crust slice - Fabulous! Or opt for the best round neopolitan and sicilian slices in Manhattan - four types of cheeses, fabulous sauce on a great crust, with fresh basil leaves cut straight on top! Everything served piping hot straight from the oven to you! It's worth the wait!
Eat the pizza the city has gone nuts over....

Apparently THE place to get the biggest sandwich you will ever find in your life. One particular infamous sandwich has every food type (meat, fish, vegetable...) known to exist. Men only need apply.

For possibly the best burger in New York head to one of the best kept secrets - the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridian Hotel.
The Burger Joint is an address for those in the know and is a well hidden room in the lobby of this hotel concealed behind a black curtain. you almost feel you need a password to enter, but when you disappear behind the curtain its another world.
A small room with a few booths and tables the menu is short and to the point but fab - hamburger or chesseburger, fries, milkshakes, soda, water or beer. but for around $15 bucks its a bargain for a real New york burger and experience.
A true NY find - so shhh don't tell everyone!

Cafe Asean is a low-key pan-Asian restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. With its funky low-lit decor, friendly service, reasonable prices and varied offering of delicious Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese and other Asian cuisines, it's one of my absolute favorite little spots in NYC. Espeically lovely in warmer weather when the back patio is open and illuminated by candles. Not to be missed!

Tucked away on Washington Street in TrBeCa, Capsouto Freres is a gorgeous French bistro, with an excellent menu and very reasonable prices. The house special is the assortment of dessert souffles, which are justifiably acclaimed by those in the know. Service is prompt and friendly, while the mixture of wood floors with clean overall lines makes the atmosphere crisp and welcoming. Well worth a visit if you're looking to treat yourself or someone else.

Don't leave New York without visiting Carnegie Deli. This favorite Jewish deli serves up the best (and biggest) corned beef sandwiches and New York Cheesecakes in the world! Literally! Bring your patience and your appetite as the lines are long and the portions are enormous. Its worth the wait-the food is fantastic, and a trip to New York isn't complete without over-indulging in one of New York's most famous dishes.

This is an amazing coffee shop and grocery /deli store. All the food carried in the store looks amazing and good enough to eat there and then.
The coffee shop offers a wide variety of coffees and drinks as well as fabulous sandwiches and cakes & pastries. Try the vanilla bean donuts - a must for all donut lovers.
