This is an amazing coffee shop and grocery /deli store. All the food carried in the store looks amazing and good enough to eat there and then.
The coffee shop offers a wide variety of coffees and drinks as well as fabulous sandwiches and cakes & pastries. Try the vanilla bean donuts - a must for all donut lovers.
Enjoy.

Fantastic diner on Broadway. The staff are in 50's costumes and sing show songs in between serving delicious food. Definitely have the Oreo milkshake!

Gorgeous little restaurant in the heart of Greenwich Village. The food feels essentially Italian but the atmosphere is most definitely hip Greenwich Village. But this restaurant isn't the pretentious beautiful hangout it could be, its a popular local that serves great food.

Upstairs at the justifiably famous supermarket, there is the best place for breakfast or brunch in New York. I suggest the cream cheese, skallion and tomato scrambled eggs on brioche with a gallon of coffee: once a week I allow myself their pancakes with maple syrup and, as a concession to health, blueberries. Bliss.

This three-hour tour of Greenwich Village is led by a competent guide (ours had a terrific sense of humour) who describes the history of the Village and provides an insight into life in this bustling area. The food is wonderful and consists of varied tasters of local and international cuisine, both sweet and savoury. Although it is more of a gentle stroll than a walk, there is little opportunity to sit down, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

Set right in Times Square, this is your perfect opportunity to bathe in Manhattan's most illuminating nightime spot. Grab a good old american meal, sample one, two or a few delicious cocktails AND keep the glass. Not to mention the ever-changing collection of legendary rock memorabillia. Finally, you can fall out onto the street at a later hour into what seems like sunlight, and enjoy some of the shops that never seem to sleep. NB. Best visited in the evening, and needn't take a large chunk out of a short city break.

I've never been but its been recommended and its website says:
Marco Canora's menu features classical dishes that have been given a contemporary spin. Whether exotic or familiar, the ingredients are allowed to speak for themselves in an uncontrived manner. Have a look at some of our signature dishes.
The menu changes daily, with more comprehensive revisions seasonally. All of the dishes are composed and within each dish is a focus on one item, be it protein or vegetable. Marco riffs on that foodstuff; for instance, on his pork dish, he presents the loin, the belly and a homemade sausage.
Another common thread is the use of true Italian cooking techniques which are often sacrificed in modern restaurants in favor of easy fixes and culinary shortcuts.

Cute old fashioned diner that does THE BEST BACON!!! Do not have what they call "Canadian bacon" though, its Spam. Quiet, unassuming and just what you need to start the day.
