The Sports Museum of America, set to open in April 2008 in Lower Manhattan, will be the nation's first comprehensive sports museum-attraction. In association with over 60 single-sport museums, halls of fame and other sports organizations across North America, SMA will have inspiring memorabilia, films, multi-media displays and interactive exhibits. SMA will also be the new home of the Heisman Trophy and the first women's sports hall of fame, the Billie Jean King International Women's Sports Center.
