  • Enjoy songs and marshmallows around a campfire, which are followed by a different Disney movie every night. It is open to all – just park at the River Country entrance and take the bus to the party.

  • A two-block strip of bars, restaurants, and clubs that draws party people wanting to steer clear of the trendiness of other downtown clubs.

  • This beautiful and acoustically vibrant room emulates the big, urbane jazz supper clubs of the past.

  • With a small stage that hosts jazz jams to psycho rock, Copper Rocket is the only true music bar in the area. Microbrews and import beers fuel the young audience.

  • Kick up your heels at this popular country music dance venue, located near downtown Orlando. This huge club has four bar areas and state-of-the-art sound and lighting. It’s open Thursday to Saturday to guests over 18 years old, and has nightly drink specials and dance contests.

  • A gigantic country music hot spot with four huge bars and nightly dance contests.

  • A little piece of England, with European soccer on the TVs, darts, and nearly 20 ales, lagers, bitters, and stouts on tap. Blues bands sometimes perform.

  • A white-collar after-work crowd frequents this hugely popular bar/ restaurant in a spacious, loft-like room. On fine nights, drinkers often head for the small outdoor space or spill out onto the sidewalk, jostling and juxtaposing with the folk from the fundamentalist church and a working-class beer joint that are located on the same street. Dexter’s is also known for its great New American menu, and for serving dozens of wines by the glass. There’s another branch in Winter Park (see Fiddler’s Green).

  • Home to a serious collection of wines, this branch of Dexter’s is more upscale than Downtown’s, except on Thursdays when there’s a band playing classic rock.

  • By night, this “seaside” boardwalk is thronged with guests enjoying the buzzing vibe and some great restaurants and clubs.
