  • The DJ plays 1980s and ’90s sounds and there are seven billiard tables at this glitzy venue.

  • In a stylish velvet and cherry-wood venue, Metropolis achieves an upscale ambience often aspired to but rarely achieved in Orlando’s clubs. DJs and a dance floor cater to groups of friends out for a giggle, while dark corners offer privacy for couples who want to smooch and sip cocktails. Top-class facilities include billiards tables and plenty of comfortable seating to encourage lounging around.

  • With tables spilling out onto Park Avenue, this café bar is the bar of choice for an older set, who enjoy a cigar and glass of wine.

  • Parliament is one of the southeast’s premier gay resorts, boasting non-stop entertainment. Beside a 130-room hotel, there’s a pulsating dance club, a piano bar, a country and western bar, a video bar, lakeside beach parties, and more.

  • Apart from its clubs, this spot also boasts a freewheeling street party with DJs, food kiosks, entertainment, open-air bars, and few restrictions about drinking in public (use plastic cups). Fireworks round off the fun.

  • This is an Orlando hot spot for gays, with DJs spinning music from the 1970s and 80s. Tuesday night is Karaoke Night, while Wednesday is College Night. Hip-hop music is featured on Thursday nights, but whatever type of music you enjoy, you will find it here. This welcoming establishment is a firm favorite for the Orlando gay crowd.

  • This upscale restaurant also has a bar that is always packed with patrons. There’s live music on Friday nights, too.

  • Located in Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, this club features music from the 1950s to the 1990s. The three-story rock ‘n roll mecca also has performances by live bands as well as DJs, and can squeeze in more than 400 people.

  • The three-story Beach Club was once a roller rink. Now it’s where rock fans do their thing, drinking beers amid the video games and pool tables. A DJ and earnest cover band provide the entertainment.

  • Tucked into an after-dark desert area of town, Roxy is a big multi-floor dance club, with impressive hiphop, Latin, and house DJs playing nightly. The loyal following tends to be less self-consciously trendy and more hetero than the usual downtown club mix. Monday Night Fights see amateur boxers from the crowd knock back a few beers then jump in a ring to fight each other. Well, the crowd is different to that found in Downtown.
