  • It’s around a 30-minute drive from downtown Orlando, but if you’re mobile, or staying in the north of the city, your reward is a soothing retreat. Services include massages (Swedish, prenatal, and aromatherapy); body wraps (mud, seaweed, and heat); and facials (European and anti-oxidant).

  • This spa has 25 start-of-the-art rooms for massage and body treatments including a Canyon Stone Massage, and a Mango Sugar Glo conditioning body scrub. There are men’s and women’s steam and sauna rooms as well as a relaxation room.

  • The spa at this resort has a range of massage therapies (including hydromassage), body treatments, facials, pedicures and manicures. Treatments can be selected individually or as part of a full-day package, and the staff are happy to design personal treatment programs. Reservations must be made by phone in advance.

  • The spa at Disney’s Victorian-style resort has a whole range of services including water and massage therapies, aromatherapy, body wraps, and masks. There’s a couple’s treatment room and a well-equipped health club. The Grand Floridian also offers nutrition and fitness counseling.

  • A state-of-the-art fitness center with a full-service spa (massages, saunas, facials, a couple’s treatment room, and more) are on offer at this Universal resort. If you are a guest, you can choose to have your massage in your room.

  • Located north of Orlando, Kathy Nicholson and her small staff offer a diverse menu that includes cellulite and detoxifying body wraps, aromatherapy treatments, mineralizing body buffs, French foot treatments, and body masks. There’s also a full line of massages as well as six-hour, multi-service packages.

  • Massageworks Day Spa & Fitness

    Located in a 100-year-old Kissimmee schoolhouse, this spa has an air of yesteryear. Treatments include massages (Swedish, neuromuscular, reflexology, and sports); therapies (salt scrubs, aroma steam, and mud-aloe); wraps (oil, marine algae, and sea clay); and colonic irrigation. Yoga, kick-boxing, and martial arts are also on offer, and there’s a sauna. It’s possible to combine treatments in three- to six-hour packages.

  • Spa at Renaissance Orlando Resort

    This spa features a full line of traditional services including massages (Swedish, deep tissue, and reflexology); body treatments (polishes and wraps); and a full line of facials, one of which is designed to introduce 10- to 14-year-olds to the basics of skin care. In-room massages are available for an extra charge. The fitness center has modern Nautilus equipment.

  • Just around the corner from Disney’s parks, the Wyndham offers an upscale experience that’s from another world. This full-service, European-style spa has various styles of massage; body treatments (mud masks, wraps, and polishes); facials; and hydro-therapy treatments. It has steam rooms, saunas, and a health-and-fitness center.

  • Urban Spa at Eó Inn

    This is a funky spa in a downtown boutique hotel (see Eó Inn). Headliners include soothing Swedish, deep tissue, and Shiatsu massages; body waxes; seaweed or mud wraps; European, hydro-intensive, and men’s facials; sea-salt scrubs; and a full-line of salon services. Packages combine your choice of three to five services.
