    The kind of place locals like to keep secret, because it’s good, inexpensive and has a great atmosphere. The charcuterie and beef are recommended.

  • 2. L’imant du Sud

    A new bistro with dishes such as tuna steak with toasted almonds. Pavement terrace in the summer.

  • 3. Au Petit Marguery

    One for game lovers, with lièvre à la royale (hare in a wine sauce) the house speciality. Boisterous atmosphere.

    Bistro with an inventive and inexpensive menu.

  • 5. La Truffière

    A 17th-century building, a wood fire and welcoming staff all make for a great little bistro. The menu features truffles.

    An Art Deco brasserie ser- ving delicious classics such as pan-fried foie-gras with apples, and Provençal-style scallops.
