1. U Tří Pštrosů
The hotel at the Three Ostriches gets its name from a 15th-century owner, who was a purveyor of ostrich feathers. The rooms are comfortably furnished and extremely quiet considering their proximity to Charles Bridge.

From the House at the Red Lion, guests can see either Prague Castle and Nerudova to the north or Petřín Hill to the south. The 17th-century painter Petr Brandl was born here. Guests will find it hard to leave room No. 32.

Built in 1372 on the steep hill overlooking the city, this small hotel is a stone’s throw from Prague Castle. Each of the nine rooms has views of Petřín Hill and thoughtful amenities such as rocking chairs.

Although the Blue Key is a newcomer, the house (now only a hand’s breadth from the tram tracks) dates from the 14th century. Each room has a small kitchen. Take room No. 126 or 127 for a wonderful castle view.
