Prague’s most romantic address, the House at the Crayfish started out as a barn in 1739. Inside the log walls are charming country-style rooms. Room No. 6 has its own garden, fireplace and well. Near Prague Castle and the Loreto. No children under 12.

  • 2. Pension Dientzenhofer

  • 6. Pension Denisa

Newly reconstructed to high standards, the Denisa sits in a quiet neighbourhood just steps from the metro. The 35 rooms each have refrigerator and satellite TV; plus, your hosts bring breakfast to your room.

  • 7. Church Pension

The Evangelic Church of the Czech Brethren puts its hospitality skills to the test at this small guesthouse. The rooms are suitably austere; not all have en-suite baths. Being a Christian affair, you may encounter a prayer group in the common room. The hosts are very pleasant.

  • 8. Čelakovskeho sady
