La Tazza d’Oro
-
Strictly the highest quality Brazilian beans go into the coffee here. There’s nothing fancy in this unassuming place and no touristy gimmicks (despite being just off the Pantheon’s piazza). Just a long, undulating bar counter where regulars enjoy a heavenly espresso that, amazingly, manages to be both among the best and the cheapest in Rome (see Tazza d’Oro).

we had a coffee here last week (dec 2008) and it was packed and the coffee was great. Im a very fussy coffee geek, this was good. Go way to the back of the cafe to pay first, then take your receipt to any of the barristas and put it down on the counter (dont hold the receipt or you wont get served) no place to sit down, its a stand up local joint, loud busy and good.
