Although functioning as a vibrant, modern capital akin to any in Europe, the unique appeal of Rome is that the entire city is a vast, 3,000-year-old, indoor-outdoor museum. In every quarter you’ll find ancient monuments, art treasures and timeless architecture in churches, galleries and protected ruins. Home to the world’s smallest city, the Vatican, Rome has religion at its heart and history in its soul – a city that dazzles and inspires visitors time and time again.

Leon Holiday Apartments is a company that offers apartments to rent in the centre of Rome. Their website is http://www.leonholidayapartments.com. The staff all spoke English and were very friendly. The cost worked out to be almost as much as it would be to stay in a hostel. Being so central, all the sights are within easy walking distance. It really made the trip.
Our apartments are all elegantly furnished, fully equipped with every comfort and well serviced. All our properties are carefully selected, controlled and managed exclusively by us directly. We guarantee that the proposed flats meet our standards of quality in terms of location and services.
Moreover you can take advantage of all our additional services (booking museums, restaurants, guided tours, where to eat in rome, and information regarding major events and best places to visit in Rome in the period requested) for a pleasant stay in complete freedom. In addition we are used to, upon request, prepare a mini Rome Travel Guide with all the information needed to live the city and the specific area chosen.
Leon Holiday Apartments suggest to their guest a list the best restaurants in Rome, in the vicinity of our holiday apartments. Each of the central areas of the city where we are present is characterized by its own traditions and typical restaurants / pizzerias. Make sure to try these restaurants and trattorias during your visit in Rome...I think good food makes traveling even more enjoyable!
To more information see the web portal http://www.leonholidayapartments.com The stay has been cheaper and more comfortable than in the Hotel. I suggest everyone who is planning a trip to Rome to rent their apartment.

this church built to house the tomb of Constantine's daughter has beautiful mosaics; alongside it is the church of Sant' Agnese which has interesting catacombs below. Neither get the number of tourist they deserve.

For a great place to escape the heat of a hot Summer day in Rome, visit the Pantheon. The building is very well preserved for it's age, and always maintains a temperature about 10-15 degrees cooler than outside due to the vent created by the large whole in the center of the ceiling. There is never a line and it's almost always open.

Piazza Navona is my favorite place to grab a carafe of wine and people watch for hours. It is comical to watch the purse and watch vendors try to evade the police, as they drive in circles around the Piazza which used to be the site of Roman chariott races. During the Summer of 2008 the Bernini fountain was under restoration and covered by scaffolding, but the Piazza is still a great place to go and grab a table to watch the action.

In the heart of Rome's centro storico, this is a surprising non-touristy hotspot that is thronged with fun-loving (and budget-conscious) locals every night. Think of it as a continuous pizza party that you're welcome to crash. Montecarlo is just a sit-down pizza place--nothing trendy--but service is fast and friendly, and there are tons of tables inside and out. Pizzas (thin-crusted, alla romana) start at 5 euros, and inexpensive house wine flows freely. All in all, a great taste of Rome's energy and affability.

This is a very nice hotel situated in the outskirts of the city. As it is not in the centre, the prices are lower. The metro stop is a 15 minute walk so you can get around easily. The breakfast is good quality and offers lots of choice. Rooms have all of the facilities you would expect.

I would like to reccomend this agency because it's the fourth time that I have rented with this agency. They have responded promptly to my emails. They have treated me fairly. The representative met us promptly at the apartment and gave us emergency numbers for maintenance problems. They were a dream to work with. Everything they said that they would do, they did. No nasty surprises two weeks before leaving for Rome. All the drivers to and from the airport showed up on time. The owner helped us with our luggage and even gave us a six pack of water. I thought the rates were very reasonable compared to other agencies I researched.
