    Tens of thousands of runners and revellers cut loose in the world's largest footrace, the San Francisco Bay to Breakers. Up to 75,000 runners, serious and silly, take to the streets of San Francisco for the 12K race, which traverses the city from the piers of the San Francisco Bay (at Howard and Spear Street) to the breakers of the Pacific Ocean.
