    Granite mansion with an up-market restaurant. A la carte or table d’hote menus prepared by a much-lauded chef.

  • 2. Udny Arms

    Family-run village pub, full of character and homeliness – and terrific food. People travel far to eat here; top marks for value.

  • 3. Milo’s

    With a menu that reflects the crossover of a French-trained local chef, Milo’s reputation is set to rocket. From high teas to the finest à la carte dinner, the fantastic meals are served in a tiny restaurant overlooking the harbour.

  • 4. Crynoch Restaurant

    Rustic décor and a Bavarian chef delivering modern cuisine with flair. Specialities such as venison with fresh local chanterelles or grilled wood pigeon salad grace the menu.

  • 5. The Green Inn

    A family run restaurant with specialities that include saddle of venison with apple, walnut and sweet peppercorn sauce.

    Funky arts centre with bistrobar. The best music venue in the northeast region. Live bands play at weekends.

    A Speyside hotel that’s popular with fishermen. Its bistro has earned a good reputation, and wild salmon is a regular speciality. Vegetarians should give advance notice.
