This luxurious all-suite hotel has an unbeatable location at Bondi. It has full resort and day spa facilities, a rooftop swimming pool, and four bars and restaurants.

This lovely boutique hotel has recently been refurbished. Split-level suites cost more but are gorgeous, opening onto private terraces with ocean views. There is also a popular bar and a restaurant downstairs.

A stylish hotel featured in design magazines, its rooms have high ceilings and designer bathrooms. Complimentary breakfast and unlimited tea and coffee are available. The two front rooms have spectacular views.

4. Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel
The raucous pub (see Eastern Suburbs) is a beacon for backpackers, who can’t resist the beachfront beer garden. While the heritage rooms above the pub are noisy, the boutique hotel is peaceful and very comfortable. Rooms are excellent value, particularly those with ocean views.
