  • Rent sailboards at breezy Cinnamon Bay Beach (seeCinnamon Bay Beach) for an exhilarating trip around the bay. The staff give lessons for novices or for those who want to improve their skills.

  • Brisk trade winds, particularly at Trellis Bay, lure windsurfers to Tortola. Rent boards at Trellis Bay and Nanny Cay. You can also take lessons.

  • Most beachfront hotels rent wind-surfers. Or try the granddaddy of wind-surfing operations in St. Thomas, West Indies Windsurfing.

  • Zip across the protected waters of Virgin Gorda’s North Sound on a windsurfer rented from Bitter End Yacht Club (seeLearn to Sail, Virgin Gorda).
