Using a process called color etchings as well as oils, Maria Henle creates stunning works that often reflect the sea. She applies various views of a subject to create pictures within pictures. Henle also exhibits the works of her father, famed St. Croix photographer Fritz Henle, in the gallery.

Danica David showcases her own acrylic and mixed media contemporary folk paintings alongside other Caribbean art. Also for sale are silk-screened sarongs by local artist Yemaya and carvings and pottery by Anguillan sculptor Courtney Devonish.

Owner Elaine Estern’s pieces, inspired by the life just offshore her seaside gallery, reflect the colors of the Caribbean and often feature her dog, M&M. Estern’s shop carries original works as well as prints, note cards, and more.

This gallery displays works by many island artists, including Lucinda Schutt’s island scenes and Avelino Samuel’s turned wood pieces. Most works focus on the Caribbean, but some surprises await those who visit this spacious gallery housed in a historic building.
