  • From the multistory atrium lobby to the remodeled rooms, this hotel charms. It is steps from the subway's Metro Center so it is easy to get anywhere in the city.

  • We stayed recently at the Omni Shoreham

hotel which is situated near the Metro Zoo

stop, and easy access to all locations.

Old and distinguished, "rather like myself",

has played host to Presidents ,the Beatles,

and was a location in the film the Pelican Brief. Also i was informed by immigration on arriving, that there was a ghost on the eighth floor, although i did not venture up there.

Anyway getting on, but still quite grand, fine breakfast, "we ate out on other occassions",

and a nice array of restaurant;s outside the hotel, everything from Thai to Macdonalds.

And the hotel is situated in Rock Creek Park,

a huge expanse of green which i didn't have the time or energy to explore.

Go there and have a nice day.
